چکیده
Based on the generalized symmetry group method presented by Lou and Ma [Lou and Ma, Non-Lie symmetry groups of (2 + 1)-dimensional nonlinear systems obtained from a simple direct method, J. Phys. A: Math. Gen. 38 (2005) L129], firstly, both the Lie point groups and the full symmetry group of the nonisospectral BKP equation are obtained, at the same time, a relationship is constructed between the new solutions and the old ones of equation. Secondly, the nonisospectral BKP can be proved to be Painlevé integrability by combining the standard WTC approach with the Kruskal’s simplification, some solutions are obtained by using the standard truncated Painlevé expansion. Finally, based on the relationship by the generalized symmetry group method and some solutions by using the standard truncated Painlevé expansion, some interesting solution are constructed. 2009 Elsevier Inc. Exact Solutions of the Generalized Kuramoto-Sivashinsky Equation
In this paper we obtain exact solutions of the generalized Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation, which describes manyphysical processes in motion of turbulence and other unstable process systems. The methods used to determine the exact solutions of the underlying equation are the Lie group analysis and the simplest equation method. The solutions obtained are then plotted.
متن کاملSymmetry, Integrability and Exact Solutions of a Variable-Coefficient Korteweg-de Vries (vcKdV) Equation
In this paper, a variable-coefficient Korteweg-de Vries (vcKdV) equation which was proposed to describe the propagation of weakly nonlinear waves in water of variable depth is investigated in detail. Firstly, the Lie point symmetries and some group invariant solutions of this equation are presented. Furthermore, the integrability property of this variable-coefficient equation is studied followi...
متن کاملExact Solutions of the One-Dimensional Quintic Complex Ginzburg-Landau Equation
Exact solitary wave solutions of the one-dimensional quintic complex Ginzburg-Landau equation are obtained using a method derived from the Painlevé test for integrability. These solutions are expressed in terms of hyperbolic functions, and include the pulses and fronts found by van Saarloos and Hohenberg. We also find previously unknown sources and sinks. The emphasis is put on the systematic c...
متن کاملSymmetry, singularities and integrability in complex dynamics II: Rescaling and time-translation in two-dimensional systems
Abstract: The explicit integrability of second order ordinary differential equations invariant under time-translation and rescaling is investigated. Quadratic systems generated from the linearisable version of this class of equations are analysed to determine the relationship between the Painlevé and singularity properties of the different systems. The transformation contains a parameter and fo...
متن کاملNonisospectral scattering problems and similarity reductions
We give mappings between hierarchies having nonisospectral scattering problems and hierarchies having isospectral scattering problems. Special cases of these changes of variables involve similarity variables, and similarity solutions of a hierarchy are seen to correspond to time-independent solutions of an equivalent hierarchy. We thus explain why the use of nonisospectral scattering problems a...
